Head Coach

Coach Marty Jackson


Coach Jackson is in his seventh year as Head Coach of the Knights and in his 22nd season as a head coach in Georgia.  He coached 10 years at Aquinas High School in Augusta , along with head coaching jobs at Fannin County, Jackson County, and Chattooga County.  In the summer of 1982, he began his coaching career as a student assistant under Coach Pat Dye at Auburn University.  

 

He was named a graduate assistant football coach in the winter of 1983.  In 1984 and 1985, he coached running backs and was the Athletic Housing Director at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He also spent one season coaching the receivers at the University of North Alabama.

  

Marty grew up in Mobile, AL and graduated from McGill Toolen High School.  He was a walk-on football player at the Auburn University from 1980 – 82 and earned his Education Specialist degree Georgia Southern University in 1993.

 

Marty is married to Penny Jackson. They have three children, Josh (29), Ashley (26), McKinley (13), and a grandson, Aden.  Family hobbies include golf, tennis, bowling, and camping.
